Nyonya Rice Dumpling @ 娘惹粽子

Nyonya Rice Dumpling is an authentic food for the Nyonya Baba in Melaka. Nyonya rice dumpling is unique in the ingredient and the colour of it. The bright and beautiful colour of blue is not artificial but from a kind of blue flower (which I have uploaded in my previous post). My mom had made the Nyonya rice dumpling below. The blue flower is grown in the garden of my house. It is totally natural and delicious.

Ang Ku Kueh, a glutinous rice-flour cake with bean-paste or peanut-paste fillings, is a favourite dessert for the chinese and nyonya in Melaka. The cakes in the photo below was made by my mom.
